Over the last 6 months, we have worked with Robert Eller Associates to complete a technology transfer agreement between a Chinese engineering thermoplastics producer and a global polymers research firm for Thermoplastic Vulcanate (TPV) technology.  TPVs are the backbone of modern plastics technologies, simulating the performance properties of rubber while maintaining the benefit of recyclability.  Our team brought both the buyer and seller together through an initial meeting at ChinaPlas (China’s premier Plastics Exhibition) and then engaged in a year-long negotiations process to evaluate, outline, and provide detailed data on the supplier’s technology and background.  This landmark deal represents one of the very first transfers of advanced styrenic block copolymer technology to China.
